On Sunday, 16 June 2024 the Pipe Band and Dancers had the pleasure of performing for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Teddy Bear Picnic. This is an annual event by CHEO and one the band has enjoyed performing at for many years. Unfortunately, the picnic disappeared for a couple of years due to Covid. What a pleasure to find out it was back on this year, for the first Picnic since 2019.
In the past, the picnic was held on the grounds of the Governor General’s residence. This year, it was held at the Aviation and Space Museum. It was a nice location for the event, with lots of parking and greenspace. The weather cooperated and made it a great day to be out.
